“Mobile Elevating Work Platforms are mobile machines which consist as a minimum of a work platform with controls, an extending structure and a chassis; that are intended to elevate people for work at height”.

Mobile elevating work platforms are specifically designed to lift people to a position where they can work at height safely within the confines of the platform. They are NOT intended to transfer people, materials or equipment from one level to another, or for people to exit the work platform at height.
