MEWP Operator (Winter)

When MEWP workers carry out jobs in winter, they face many additional risks. Some cold-weather dangers are obvious, but others are often more difficult to spot. Being too cold can impair judgment (mild hypothermia) and leads to tiredness, confusion, poor co-ordination and changes in behaviour. The risk of workers exposure to wind chill (a cause of hyperthermia), can also increase with height.
